Carriere System Philosophy
The Carriere System incorporates fast, natural, and gentle forces to correct Class II and Class III malocclusions at the beginning of treatment with Carriere® Motion™ Appliances, and then transitions to the Carriere SLX 3D™ Self-Ligating Bracket System to provide efficiencies over traditional mechanics. This new, unique, and innovative approach ensures that you address not only the patient’s occlusion, but their total facial harmony.
Fast
The Carriere System shortens overall treatment time by up to 7 months as it treats Class II correction at the beginning of the orthodontic treatment, when there are no competing forces in the mouth caused by brackets or other appliances.*
Gentle
The low force of the Carriere Motion Appliance is gentle on your patients, and its low-profile design is very comfortable to wear. By treating the Class II platform first, it simplifies the entire treatment for you and provides greater comfort for your patients.
Natural
Mimicking a human hip ball-socket joint, the Carriere Motion Appliance allows the first molar to rotate and upright in its natural and correct finishing position, producing a continuous, natural, and uniform force for distal molar movement with controlled rotation and tipping correction.
A Revolution in Treatment
Using Carriere Motion Appliances on Class II as an alternative to the Herbst or headgear and Carriere Motion Appliances for Class III instead of a complex surgical procedure or the reverse pull facemask, both provide a unique opportunity to change the occlusal plane and achieve a Class I platform consistently as treatment begins and when the patient is most compliant. A Class II correction can usually be completed in an average of 3-7 months.*
Built-in stops engineered in the appliance prevent the molars from over-rotating and the crowns from distal tipping. The Carriere Motion Appliance’s low forces are biologically compatible during the Class II treatment.

Dr. Carrière is the inventor of both the internationally known Carriere SLX 3D Self-Ligating Bracket and the Carriere Motion 3D Appliance. He is a world-renowned lecturer on these products, in addition to many other topics.

Dr. Luis Carrière earned his dental degree from the University of Complutense in Madrid in 1991. He received his Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Barcelona in 1994. In 2006, he received his Doctorate in Orthodontics, Cum Laude, from the University of Barcelona.
